Physical Therapist (PT)

Building Bridges, LLC is an established Birth to Three/Early Intervention company based out of Wethersfield, CT working with 500+ families and children in Central CT. We are dedicated to providing the best care possible to those we serve: children below the age of three with developmental delays and their families. We are currently looking for a Physical Therapist to cover parts of our territory in Central CT. We are looking for a PT that wants to become part of an excellent team and help the children and families of CT in their natural environments. The efforts we make have a vast impact on the growth, development, and future success of these children. PTs of all experience levels are welcome to apply, but you must possess a Physical Therapy License in the State of CT and have some pediatric background.

Part-Time/Fee-for-Service employees are compensated at an all-inclusive hourly rate. The following is taken into consideration: time spent for average transportation, Service Coordinator tasks, and mandatory staff meetings.
We would consider offering full-time PT employment, in which there is an extensive benefit package paired with a full-time salary.

Building Bridges provides Birth to Three/Early Intervention services in the home environment in the following towns: Cromwell, East Hartford, East Windsor, Ellington, Enfield, Glastonbury, Hartford, Hebron, Manchester, Marlborough, New Britain, Newington, Portland, Rocky Hill, Somers, South Windsor, Suffield, Tolland, Vernon, West Hartford, Wethersfield, Windsor, Windsor Locks.

Responsibilities:
-
Conduct evaluations/assessments to identify the physical development, motor skills, and areas of concern in children.

Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation/assessment results and family input.

Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other team members to ensure a holistic, coordinated, and continuous approach to care.

Establish measurable goals and strategies as a team to help achieve physical development.

Provide direct physical therapy services to children in natural environments using evidence-based interventions.

Provide guidance and education to families on strategies to support their child's physical development.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Attend and participate in interdisciplinary teaming meetings to discuss and coordinate comprehensive care for children.

Stay informed about current research and best practices in early intervention physical therapy.

Timely and accurate submission of necessary documentation.

Qualifications:

Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

Valid CT state license to practice Physical Therapy.

Experience working in the field of pediatrics or early intervention.

Experience conducting assessments and implementing intervention plans.

Ability to adapt approaches based on the differing needs/situations of each child.

Knowledge of development milestones and challenges in children.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.

Ability to provide training and support to parents, caregivers, and others in carrying out intervention strategies.

Genuine passion for working with young children to support their development and health.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, attention to detail.

Adherence to ethical standards and a commitment to providing excellent care.
